I wouldnt have chosen Russell Crowe for Robin. But then again he always sets the mood for Traditional combat performances. I bet you it was a toss up from either Mel Gibson or Russell.
Either way Kevin Costner had a charming ellegant role' for Robin: Prince of theives. With the impressive Costume design they threw on him.
All I can say is movies are changing and becoming more Dynamic
