The ImagineFX Rising Stars showcase is back for 2011. Like last year’s opening event, the Rising Stars campaign aims to discover, promote and celebrate the best of today’s young sci-fi and fantasy artists and illustrators, whether digital or traditionally based, from around the world. “Share One Planet” Wild Animals CG Art Elites Invitational Competition is the first global competition of the “Share One Planet” series. The competition will invite CG masters worldwide to take part. Winners will be rewarded not only with cash, but also the receive specially-designed trophies. The winning entries of the competition will be first exhibited in China and then toured internationally in an exhibition. Organizers hope the platform of “Share One Planet” can be built for encouraging artists to create meaningful and inspiring CG works and for promoting great CG artists, raising attention to wild animals and the protection of the global environment.

The Creative Cartoon Competition, themed on “□□ and Its Friends”, is jointly held by Shanda Games and leewiART, with the objective to design international standard cartoon figures and to represent all FLASH, web and casual products of Shanda Games. Comic Cover Art Contest

DeviantART announced "The Big Under" Comic Cover Art Contest! The winning entry will fetch a handsome $2,000, plus it might be used as the cover for the digital motion comic "Inception - The Big Under", which may be included as a bonus on an upcoming Warner Bros. Home Entertainment release.

Illustrative is the leading international forum for contemporary illustration and graphic arts.

The exhibition displays an inspiring collection of fresh illustration and graphic art showcasing over 600 works from more than 60 artists. Over the course of two weeks, the festival celebrates the illustrative arts, presents new talents and trends, exchanges ideas, marvels at progressive technologies, and rediscovers forgotten styles.

The Young Illustrators Award encourages and supports designers in their artistic practice and offers an international and worldwide recognized platform for them. UNESCO poster competition

The United Nations General Assembly has proclaimed 2010, International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures, and calls out a design competition for the official poster. From 50 selected posters, 30 posters will be printed for an exhibition to be held at UNESCO Headquarter in May 2010 in the framework of the International Festival of Cultural Diversity.
